{"id":157,"date":"2023-01-23T13:04:23","date_gmt":"2023-01-23T13:04:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tdi_125_7c5"},"modified":"2023-01-24T14:11:17","modified_gmt":"2023-01-24T14:11:17","slug":"indian-govt-to-organise-the-first-global-tourism-g20-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/visadone.com\/news\/indian-govt-to-organise-the-first-global-tourism-g20-summit\/","title":{"rendered":"Indian Govt to organise the First Global Tourism G20 Summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)<\/strong> is the industry partner for the summit to be held on April 10-12, in New Delhi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Centre will organise the country&#8217;s <strong>First Global Tourism Summit in April<\/strong> as part of India&#8217;s G-20 presidency and all the member countries will participate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The G20 summit will mainly showcase the major tourist destinations of the country with various government entities as the stakeholders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For showcasing Incredible India as a major travel destination, G20 will be the Union Tourism ministry&#8217;s focus area in 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy took part in the 10th <strong>International Tourism Mart (ITM)<\/strong> for the Northeast that put a spotlight on the region&#8217;s tourism potential and was held in Aizawl from November 17-19 to facilitate interaction among government agencies, business fraternity, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders. Private companies in the hospitality sector are &#8220;showing an appetite to invest in the Northeast,&#8221; Union Tourism Secretary Arvind Singh in Aizawl. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event also focused on &#8220;priorities of G20 for tourism track&#8221;. This was Mizoram&#8217;s first time hosting the <strong>ITM<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;We have to use this occasion (G20 meetings) to showcase our cultural and traditional heritage to the foreign guests,&#8221; <strong>Union Tourism Secretary Arvind Singh<\/strong> had said. During a national conference of state tourism ministers in Himachal Pradesh&#8217;s Dharamshala from September 18-20, Arvind Singh said that India has planned to position itself as a &#8220;major tourism destination&#8221; during its G20 presidency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of now, the following dates for the meeting are confirmed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The First meeting will be held in the <strong>Rann of Kutch<\/strong>, Gujarat from the <strong>7th of February to the 9th of February<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Second meeting will be held in <strong>Siliguri<\/strong>, West Bengal from the <strong>3rd of April to the 5th of April<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Third meeting will be held in <strong>Srinagar<\/strong>, Jammu Kashmir from the <strong>22nd of May to the 24th of May<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Fourth meeting will be held in <strong>Goa<\/strong> from the <strong>19th of June to the 22nd of June<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is the industry partner for the summit to be held on April 10-12, in New Delhi.
