The government says every visitor should be able to get medical care without a heavy bill. The insurance charge is USD 50 per traveler, subject to confirmation. The insurance requirement is part of the visa and travel authorisation process, so travelers should plan for it when they apply. Visitors should also check the latest requirements before they leave home.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_long_it_lasts\"><\/span><b>How long it lasts<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The policy covers the whole stay, up to 12 months. For a single entry of up to 30 days, one level of cover applies. For 31 to 60 days, another level applies. For stays longer than 60 days, visitors need international private medical insurance.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_it_covers\"><\/span><b>What it covers<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The policy covers emergency treatment in hospital and as an outpatient. It also covers prescribed medicines, emergency transport to a hospital and the return of mortal remains to the home country. The total minimum cover is USD 50,000.
